Anaconds part II - Witold Borkowski
In the second part of the article on anacondas its author describes the conditions that are to be observed when keeping these large constrictors. He aims at making readers realize what a challenge it is to keep such a reptile in a terrarium. The choice of an animal can’t be a compulsory action – an animal is to be chosen carefully and its all cons and pros are to be considered before the actual purchase of an exotic pet takes place. It has to be a conscious choice and you have to realize anacondas are long-living animals – their lifespan may be as long as few decades. The article’s author discusses the issues of terrarium construction, feeding and breeding two of the most popular anaconda species (Eunectes murinus and Eunectes notaeus)..
Leptodactylus fallax - Grażyna Pabijan
Leptodactylus fallax is a large frog inhabiting the Lesser Antilles – islands in the Caribbean Sea. Their reproduction is particularly interesting as thanks to it the species is able to live even in habitats that are short in water. Moreover, the giant ditch frogs take care of their offspring in a peculiar way. Nevertheless their survival is endangered and due to the drastic decrease in their number the species was covered by preservation programs and captive breeding programs, carried out by zoos and scientific institutions.

Zander in aquarium - Maksymilian Przybylski
Probably each of us dreamed of huge aquaria of the capacity of several or even several dozens thousand litres once. Aquarium hobbyists dealing with marine aspect of the hobby dream of huge sharks, mantas or giant groupers. Freshwater aquarium hobbyists imagine gar pikes, arapaimas or tiger fish swimming in such a tank. As it comes to me, I belong to a niche of aquarium hobby dealing with „Polish” waters section and I dream of huge pikes, wels catfishes and zanders. I managed to fulfil one of those dreams and despite the fact that it’s not a story of tanks of the capacity of several thousands litres and 1-metre long fish, I hope you will read my article.
